How Big? One-Quarter-of-a-Million Trees Big!
Some companies talk about environmental responsibility. Others act.
Two companies that put their words into force are earth-first lifestyle apparel maker tentree, and Tru Earth.
tentree, a Vancouver Canada based lifestyle apparel brand that plants ten trees for every item purchased, made a commitment to plant 1 billion trees by the year 2030.
Tru Earth agrees with their mission, and to honour Earth Day and Arbor Day the two will team up to plant 250,000 of those trees.
The tentree mission will help dramatically reduce the devastating effects of climate change over the next decades. So far, with more than 55 million trees planted, tentree is quickly stepping up as a leader and the most environmentally progressive apparel brand on the planet.
Tru Earth joins tentree’s “Planet Partners” Earth Month campaign in its continued effort to encourage their customers to be #TruChangeMakers and make a substantial, positive impact on the environment.
Tru Earth believes change starts at home. We provide consumers around the world with eco-friendly zero waste household products such as laundry detergent in the form of an ultra-concentrated, hypoallergenic eco-strip. So far, this product alone helped eliminate more than 3 million plastic laundry jugs from landfills.
Starting April 29, Tru Earth will plant 1 tree per item purchased via our website for one week and is committed to plant a minimum of 250,000 trees with tentree. This includes our popular Tru Earth Eco-Strips Laundry Detergent.
tentree Founder and CEO Derrick Emsley says, “At tentree, we are big believers in the power of community and collaboration to tackle the problems our Earth is facing.”
“The Planet Partners initiative brings together a group of amazing companies that share that mindset at a time when we're all looking to bring awareness to Climate Change, waste, and more. Together, our voices are stronger. This is just the beginning of what Planet Partners will become.”
